Bangladesh recorded 22 new cases of COVID-19 in a 24-hour period till Friday morning. Considering the new figures, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said that the nation’s overall COVID-19 caseload has risen to 2,046,711.

As there were no new deaths from the disease recorded in this time period, the official death toll still remains at 29,479. After the analysis of 430 samples, the daily case-test positivity rate was 5.12%, said the DGHS. The percentages for recovery and death were 98.41% and 1.44%, respectively, and did not fluctuate.
