Sakib Jamal, who was born in Bangladesh, has been chosen to Forbes’ prestigious 30 Under 30 list for North America for 2024. Forbes makes this list every year of the most impressive and promising people in North America under the age of 30. They come from business, science, the arts, and other fields. Jamal was put in the Venture Capital group.
This May, seven Bangladeshis were named to the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia 2023 list. Forbes says that Jamal, who was Crossbeam Ventures’ first employee, has been very important to the company’s fast growth since becoming a member in 2020. The firm’s assets have grown to an amazing $280 million across two core funds, thanks in large part to his work.
Crossbeam Ventures has made nine investments with Jamal personally, and he has also been the main contact for 14 others. Because of his skills and hard work, Jamal was promoted to vice president in June 2023, which was his second advance within the company.
Jamal was born in Bangladesh and went to Cornell University. He has a Bachelor of Arts/Science degree. He has also crowdsourced a book for junior investors. The money from the sales will go to helping schoolchildren in Bangladesh with their schooling.
Sakib Jamal was also on the 20 under 20 list from Crain’s New York Business earlier this year.
