Bangladesh Metal Alliance, Trident of Chaos, Cloven Hoof BD, and Coup de Grâce are about to present the first-ever thrash metal festival “Bangladesh Thrashfest 2023”. This historic event brings together six amazing thrash metal bands from Dhaka’s underground scene, marking the first-ever, dedicated thrash metal concert in Bangladesh. With Powersurge being the show-stopper, the audience will also get to see bands like Thrash, Karmant, Goddamn, Burning Democracy, and Kaizen on the same day.
With several underground and DIY music releases throughout the last decade, thrash metal has garnered enormous appeal in the Bangladeshi metal scene. This gathering of thrash metal performers and fans intends to highlight the genre’s strong history in Bangladesh while promoting it to a wider audience in order to recognize its enduring legacy.
The “National Library Auditorium” returns to the underground after a five-year hiatus to host the “Bangladesh Thrashfest 2023.” Alongside the Russian Cultural Centre (RCC), the “National Library Auditorium” is a historic venue located at the heart of Dhaka on Sayed Mahbub Morshed Avenue, Agargaon, and has long been a fixture of Dhaka’s underground music scene. The event will take place on June 2 and will cost BDT 400 to enter.
