BCB forms 3 member committee to look into CWC 2023 failure

A press statement from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said that they have set up a special committee of 3 people to look into how the Bangladesh national team did in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup India 2023.

The group is made up of BCB directors Akram Khan (member), Enayet Hossain Siraj (convenor), and Mahbubul Anam (member).

The goal of the committee is to look into the reasons why the team did poorly in the tournament, and they will then report their findings to the board, the release said.

Bangladesh came in eighth out of ten teams, winning just two of their nine games. The team’s management had hoped to make it to the playoffs, but they didn’t make it that far.

Before the World Cup, there were a lot of problems with Tamim Iqbal’s exclusion and his public conflict with leader Shakib Al Hasan.
