Actor Patrick Dempsey, who starred in the show “Grey’s Anatomy”, was named People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” for 2023 on Tuesday, succeeding Marvel star Chris Evans, who had the honor for the year of 2022.
Dempsey, who is currently 57 years of age, said he was “completely shocked” when he got the news and thought it was some kind of a joke. “It’s nice to have the recognition, and certainly my ego takes a little bump, but it gives me the platform to use it for something positive,” Dempsey told the magazine for their cover story. In December of this year, Dempsey will star in the biopic “Ferrari”, directed by Michael Mann, where he will portray Italian Formula One driver Piero Taruffi. The movie also features Adam Driver and Penelope Cruz in its cast.
