Police arrested Farnaz Alam, owner of the beauty parlour Woman’s World, in a case over installing CCTV cameras at the parlour in Dhanmondi. But a Dhaka court allowed her bail just hours after she was detained, said police.
Farnaz Alam, an expecting mother, was held at the airport immigration by Dhanmondi police station officer-in-charge Parvez Islam. Four accused, including Taslim Arif Illiyus, Emdadul Hasan, and Jewel Khandaker, were arrested in the case. The OC stated that the police did not want Farnaz in their custody for remand. The case also involved Taslima Chowdhury Kona Alam and Farnaz Alam, but Taslima, the mother of Farnaz, is yet to be arrested.
