Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh, surprised passengers on a regular commercial flight of the state-owned Biman Bangladesh Airlines today.
She wandered around the plane on her way back from Geneva, exchanging pleasantries with people.
Passengers on Biman’s fully filled commercial flight were shocked when she went to their seats and inquired about their well-being.
“Many of them were surprised and astonished having their prime minister beside their seats on the flight,” M Nazrul Islam, the PM’s speechwriter, said.
PM Sheikh Hasina also posed for photos with them. She spoke with much tenderness to youngsters. Some of the passengers conveyed their views to the prime minister on a variety of themes, including the country’s development over the last 14 and a half years.
