Viral ex-BCL leader who put 43 seals in 57 seconds is back in campaigns

Azad Hossain, the former Chhatra League leader who publicly put 43 seals in 57 seconds in the by-election of Laxmipur-3 (Sadar) seat, was seen campaigning in the polling field. But this time no one is calling him a ‘Shibir member’. This time, Awami League officials are identifying him as a former Chhatra League leader. Azad is the former vice president of Chandraganj Thana Chhatra League.

On Friday, Azad took part in mass communication including distributing leaflets, hanging posters and miking in different areas of Dighli Union on behalf of Bangladesh Awami League. In his presence, the local and opposition supporters fear the repetition of the sealing incident. It was not possible to talk to Azad about this.

At 1:06 p.m. Dighli Union Awami League president and convenor of the election management committee Abdul Wadud Liton told Jugantor that Azad was not given any responsibility even though he was in the BAL campaign. “There will be a fair vote, there is no doubt. Azad is a part of Chhatra League. Never was involved with Shibir. I don’t know who called him a part of it.”
