9 goats held in custody for eating grass in Barishal are now free after a year

On Friday, 9 goats that had been in custody for roughly a year due to eating a bunch of grass and leaves from a cemetery in the city of Barishal were released. Abul Khair Abdullah, the recently elected Mayor of Barishal City Corporation (BCC), issued the order for their release.

The animals had been captured on December 6 of the previous year due to their involvement in the cemetery of the city, as verified by Swapon Kumar Das, an administrative official of the BCC at the time. The proprietor of the goats, Shahriar Sachib Rajib, recently petitioned Mayor Abul Khair Abdullah for their release; on Friday, the goats were released.

Road Inspectors Reazul Karim and Imran Hossain Khan, in addition to the present BCC administrative official Alamgir Hossain, witnessed the cattle being returned to their owner. The owner’s appeal resulted in the goats’ release, which signified the conclusion of their confined grazing in the city’s cemetery.
