Bangladesh to observe state mourning on Saturday for Palestinians killed by Israel

Bangladesh’s Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, has declared a one-day state mourning on Saturday to honour the Palestinians who lost their lives in recent Israeli attacks. She also called for prayers in mosques and places of worship across the country on Friday to remember the victims, highlighting that those affected by the Israeli attacks include Muslims, Christians, and Jews.

The prime minister made these announcements during an event to inaugurate newly constructed bridges and overpasses in various districts. Sheikh Hasina expressed Bangladesh’s commitment to supporting the rights of the Palestinian people and emphasized the need to end the ongoing conflict and ensure the return of occupied lands to the Palestinians.
